Nvidia LHR Unlocker is a tool supposedly modifying the BIOS of Nvidia GeForce RTX 30-series Ampere architecture-based graphics cards, as well as RTX A-series workstation graphics adapters, to remove the mining performance limits set by Nvidia. "Presumably" because the tool is not yet available, and worse, a single firmware modification is not enough to bring back the full mining performance of GPUs. Allegedly, Nvidia has implemented LHR locks with firmware and drivers that are theoretically protected with encryption. It goes without saying that downloading and installing unknown files from the Internet can lead to bad consequences for your PC and personal data.

The developer plans to release its Nvidia RTX LHR v2 Unlocker on February 26, which will be the first public beta of the tool. Again, it's a bit odd to pre-announce such a tool instead of just hosting it on GitHub. To date, the utility has allegedly been tested on various GeForce RTX 30-series and RTX A-series graphics cards, and the developer claims that his tool restores the full mining performance of these devices.
